Take a short but memorable drive with us as we travel east along President Clinton Avenue in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. This half-mile stretch may be brief, but it packs in a lot of character. We begin at the intersection of Cumberland Street, right on the edge of the city’s bustling River Market District. From here, President Clinton Avenue offers an easygoing ride surrounded by some of Little Rock’s best urban attractions and walkable destinations.
As we head east, we quickly reach the four-way stop at River Market Avenue, where pedestrians frequently cross between local hotspots like the Ottenheimer Market Hall and Museum of Discovery. This area is a hub for food trucks, music, and weekend crowds. Lined with restaurants, lofts, and event venues, Clinton Avenue gives a front-row view of how Little Rock has reimagined its downtown riverfront into a destination full of energy and life. This stretch also features well-maintained sidewalks, bike racks, and signage pointing to nearby landmarks, making it one of the city’s most inviting corridors for both locals and visitors.
Continuing east past the underpass of Interstate 30, the street narrows slightly as it transitions toward its eastern terminus. We finish our drive at the entrance to the William J. Clinton Presidential Library and Museum, a striking modern complex set within Riverfront Park. From here, visitors can walk the grounds, explore exhibits chronicling Clinton’s presidency, or step out onto the Clinton Presidential Park Bridge, a converted railway bridge now serving as a pedestrian and cycling path across the Arkansas River. It’s a fitting conclusion to a route that blends modern civic life with a sense of national history and urban renewal.
